I did numerous online shopping previously. The transactions, the deals, the activity went well without any fuss except for a few isolated cases where the order took too long to reach me. And those transactions were for smaller, cheaper items that I could afford to bear the loss should anything untoward happen.
But this time, a washing machine. For me, it's a big deal. The price, the size, the fragility, the trustworthiness, all to be taken into account. I've never buy anything online that costs more than RM 300 before. I prefer physical, actual shopping for pricey things.
Since my wife and I had been looking for a new washing machine but couldn't settle for one, I decided to opt for online shopping. Compared to the price I got from the stores, I could save HUNDREDS buying them online, delivery included! So I made my mind, and proceeded to buy my new washing machine online instead.
The seller said my order would arrive around 4 to 8 days after the payment and confirmation. I was okay with that. In addition, I would even have to wait for two weeks if I still want to buy my washing machine from the store here in my place. So 4 to 8 day sounds fair for me.
And guess what, I received my order only 2 days after! Splendid! Good job all of you as a team. The seller, the online mall,
Exuberantly, we unpacked our new washing machine minutes after the delivery and started to use it right after the installation. So it has been two days now and the washing machine has spun almost 15 full cycles (don't ask) and going strong.
Frankly speaking, I never thought online shopping for big things like this could be pretty much handy and accommodating. This is a new experience for me (and a good one) and I may consider doing more in the future. I saved a lot from this including money, time, fuel,
